Incidentally, the fingerprint scanner is installed on the side of both. 

There is even a tie in the processor because both use the Qualcomm SM8475 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 octa-core processor with 1×3.2 GHz Cortex-X2, 3×2.75 GHz Cortex-A710, and 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A510 cores manufactured in the 4nm process along with the Adreno 730 GPU. Both do not allow the use of a memory card. 

While the Honor Magic Vs. is only available in a variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB internal memory, the Galaxy Z Fold4 comes with 12GB RAM and then either 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB memory. Both come with Android 12 ex works under the respective in-house user interface, but Android 13 is already available for the Galaxy Z Fold4.

Due to the same processor, many details are identical, so both have Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth 5.2, maximum 5G connectivity, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, and also stereo speakers.

The Honor Magic Vs. also has an IR blaster, USB Type-C 3.1 with USB On-The-Go and a DisplayPort 1.2; Samsung comes with a USB Type-C 3.2 connection with USB On-The-Go and 32- bit/384kHz audio tuned by AKG and of course also with Bixby, Samsung Pay, and Samsung DeX. In terms of battery size, the Honor Magic Vs. is ahead with 5,000mAh and charges it with a maximum of 66W Fast Charging, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 only has 4,400mAh and charges it with 25W Fast Charging, but there is also 15W Wireless Fast Charging. 

Conclusion? The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 with 512GB memory would still cost around €1,900 directly from Samsung. However, you can get it much cheaper as part of various promotions, for example, on Black Friday for around €1,400. Even if the Honor Magic Vs. Then comes us, and the home price of about €1,000 is corrected upwards; it should still be an exciting alternative in terms of price and technology, although the attractiveness would then be reciprocal to the price…
